I am available for bookings for gigs, workshops and concerts from May 2000 on. If you are interested in making a booking for a music festival -celebration please book early since those months are already getting full up.

FAITHNET: January through April 2000

MUSIC AND POLITICS In January I organized a choir of the most exciting Human Rights Arts Fair held in Toronto at the Marriot,by CUPE Ontario organizers and workers and artisits created artwork, theater, music, video, spoken and written word to express human rights concerns and I can't think of any issues that were left out. Incredible talent and emotive expression by the workers -see http://www.cupe.on.ca/. to view the fair . Thanks to CUPE Ontario, Judy Wilking, Catherine Macleod for bringing art to the people. I continue working on editing a video made with Women Prisoners from San Fran County jail. The group we began Joint effort two years ago still gos to prisons and jail for performances -workshops Anyone want to get involved here with prison and or womens shelter work performance /workshops please email me and I'II put younin touch with Bee or our co-ordinators. February is Black History or African Canadian History Month a busy season this year thanks to The Ttonto District School Board Staff who keep our history happening in the schools. Patricia Hayes, Pauline Bullen, Tim MacCaskgel .

Schools Played, Rouge Valley - Feb 8th, University Of Ottawa - Feb10th, Seneca College - Feb 17th, Yorkwoods Library - Feb 18th, Lester B. Pearson - Feb 23rd, Bathurst Heights - Feb 24th, David & Mary Thompson - Feb 29th - with Ontario Gov't cutbacks it looks like we may soon see an end to cultural funding in our schools. We must fight to keep it alive.

The" which side are you", pickett line is up and I try to play at the pickett line of the CUPE Boy's Home Workers on Feb 8th they had been on strike for 10 weeks out side walking in the bitter cold to fight cutbacks in there pay, healthplan... for info call the strikeline at 416-465-9595 I will join my sisters and brothers on the pickett line again Feb 23rd pm 8am-12noon (one block south of ) Pape & Danforth. There is a open vigil at Borden & Elliot located at King & Bay(tor.) I continue to write lyrics and music and have enough tunes now to put out a new CD which will be called "AFRO NOVA HUE". Like every other independent artist, I have cashflow problems! So any ideas, suggestions, donations would be received in solidarity (and will be acknowledged on the CD cover!).
